A skimboard should have balance. One rail heavier than the other?
The nose heavier than the tail? No, that won't do. You want the
weight distributed evenly throughout the board. So why not get a
board laminated with the same amount and type of reinforcement on each side?
Balanced laminates. A classic Syndrome has a full sheet of carbon fiber on each side of the board. This is followed up by layers of fiberglass for added durability. The SE is built with multiple layers of E-glass on each side. Both boards contain the same amount of reinforcements on each side. Balanced laminates work together to absorb, dissipate, resist and react to all the abuse you put into them during a session. They act in unison and harmony. A balanced laminate will give your board more strength, more pop and a quicker response. |
