Vacuum bagging is a technique that compresses all the components
of your skimboard as the epoxy cures creating a tightly compacted,
uniform composite structure.
Air bubbles and voids are eliminated and excess resin is extracted leaving behind tightly compacted fibers and the perfect amount of resin to hold everything together -- a lean, balanced laminate with an optimum resin-to-reinforcement ratio. Laminates like this are stronger, lighter, and stiffer with better adhesion to the foam core than laminates made in molds or without vacuum bagging. This lamination process gives your board more strength, pop, and greater performance all around. |
